Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Prestwick, 40-hour week (Static Role), Temporary to Permanent (13 weeks), £16.00 – £20.00 per hour, Overtime paid at 1.5x rate

Responsibilities:

• Early Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Late Shift: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on machinery and systems.
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure plant operations run efficiently and production targets are met.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency situations to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer within FMCG, automated, or manufacturing environments.
• Electrical NVQ qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work effectively within a rotating shift pattern.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
