Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator, Govan (Glasgow), £16.00 to £18.50 per hour DOE, Temp-to-Perm, 39.5 hours per week + Overtime Available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Govan. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sheet metal experience looking for long-term, stable work with the chance to secure a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:45pm and Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm (39.5 paid hours per week)
Taking part in the manufacturing process within a busy production environment
Cutting sheet metal to size using Amada guillotines
Working from technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
Operating a range of hand and power tools
Following in-house processes and quality standards
Maintaining a high level of accuracy and consistency within tight tolerances

Requirements:

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience working with metals including aluminium, pre-coat sheet, and stainless steel
Competent using measuring tools such as tape measures and rules
High attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Physically capable of lifting and manoeuvring large metal sheets
