CNC Miller, Permanent Role, £39,000 to £52,000 (including 25% shift allowance)
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a precision workshop team. This permanent role involves operating CNC Turning and 3/4/5 Axis Milling machines, performing inspections, and ensuring high-quality production to tight tolerances on metallic and non-metallic materials.

Responsibilities
- Hours: 37 per week, 1-week shift rotation
- Operate and set up CNC Turning and 3/4/5 Axis Milling machines.
- Perform inspection and quality checks using CMM and other measuring and gauging devices.
- Work accurately to blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Identify, select, and set up appropriate tooling, measuring instruments, and devices for each operation.
- Maintain precision and quality standards across all manufactured components.
- Collaborate with workshop team to meet production schedules and quality targets.
Requirements
- Time-served in a relevant trade or apprenticeship.
- Ability to work rotating shifts:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
- Backshift: 3:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Mon-Thurs), 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Fri)
- Nightshift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Mon-Thurs, finishing 7:00 AM Fri)
- Strong manufacturing and machining background.
- Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, and Heidenhain control systems.
- Experience with metallic and non-metallic materials, tooling, and tight tolerance work.
- Aerospace experience is desirable but not essential.
