Welder, up to £21.00 per hour, Immediate start, Temp to Perm

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality MIG welding on aluminium components and plates used in pylons and substations.
• Manufacture and assemble components for infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Work to tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment.
• Complete weld tests as part of the recruitment process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in aluminium MIG welding.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience working to specified tolerances and quality requirements.
• TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship standards.
• Candidates must provide their own welding mask and overalls for the weld test.
