We are currently seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a busy sheet metal department in Livingston. You will be based in a fast-paced, safety-first workshop where attention to detail and high standards are paramount. The chosen candidate will handle the setting and operating of an Amada Press Brake, producing high-quality sheet metal components directly from technical engineering drawings and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate an Amada Press Brake machine safely and efficiently.
- Read, interpret, and work accurately from complex engineering drawings and technical specs.
- Fold, bend, and roll sheet metal components to precise manufacturing tolerances.
- Manufacture a mix of bespoke parts and repeatable batch production components.
- Perform rigorous dimensional quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Coordinate closely with assembly, welding, and production teams to hit tight deadlines.
- Keep your work area tidy and follow all workshop health & safety rules.
Experience & Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:
- Solid background as a Press Brake Operator within a busy sheet metal or fabrication shop.
- Direct experience setting and operating machinery (Amada software/hardware familiarity is highly preferred).
- First-class ability to read, follow, and calculate fold sequences from technical blueprints.
- Practical experience folding, bending, and shaping various gauges of sheet metal.
- Thorough understanding of workshop health, safety, and risk practices.
- Capability to work to tight manufacturing specs with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, mark-free workmanship.
