Machine Operator, Motherwell, £14.00 per hour, Contract, Temp to Perm, OT available at x 1.5

Responsibilities

• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm
• Potential Friday and Saturday overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate as production demands increase.
• Operate workshop machinery including cutting, drilling, bending, and fabrication equipment
• Manufacture and assemble concrete mixer components to specification
• Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and production schedules
• Carry out basic machine checks and routine maintenance
• Perform quality inspections and report defects when identified
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets

Requirements

• Plasma cutting experience is essential
• Previous manufacturing or workshop experience is desirable
• Experience operating machinery within a production environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Mechanical or engineering knowledge would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
