Aluminium MIG Welder, 13 Week Contract, Workshop Based
This is a workshop-based role, working Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 5:15pm, offering a 4-day working week. The position is offered on an initial 13-week contract, with the possibility of extension or moving into a permanent role for the right candidate.
4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)
Long weekends every week
13-week contract with potential extension
Opportunity to move into a permanent role
Working on major SSEN infrastructure upgrade projects
Stable workshop-based work environment
MIG welding aluminium plates and structural components
Fabricating components used in pylons and substations
Working from engineering drawings to produce accurate welds
Working to specified tolerances and quality standards
Supporting the production and fabrication of infrastructure components
Maintaining a safe, organised workshop environment
Carrying out additional duties as required to support the team
Proven aluminium welding experience
Strong MIG welding skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
TIG welding experience (desirable)
