Yard Operator, £16.00 per hour, Immediate Start, Temp to Perm

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Move steel materials and fabricated products around the yard.
• Organise and maintain stock within the yard.
• Assist with the safe storage and handling of materials.
• Keep the yard clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site policies.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day yard operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a busy yard, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
• Strong work ethic with a reliable and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
